CANSwim Initiatives
25 to Life
We want every Canadian child to learn to swim at least 25 meters non-stop by the age of 12. 25 to Life is a recognition program that starts when a parent registers a child in any swim lesson; and continues until that child reaches the 25 meter goal. This program provides a positive, ongoing relationship with a huge percentage of Canadian families.
Summer Splash Tour
A summer-long tour of community festivals and events, busy street corners and corporate partner retail locations. Our traveling beach party will promote and deliver the CANSwim message, along with partner product samples, to tens of thousands of Canadians all summer long.
Eyes Alive
An awareness campaign aimed at parents of young children, focusing on the critical importance of being alert any time their child is around water. Eyes Alive materials are handed out at corporate partner locations and along the Summer Splash Tour.
The Big Splash
This annual celebration raises funds to support the CANSwim movement and honors the best athletes, coaches and moments in Canadian Swimming. The 2011 edition will be held Monday, November 28 at the John Bassett Theatre in downtown Toronto.
